Line and shape
I took half of my photos in Bristol and half of them around my yard. I'm close to my subject, I'm just at the last step of the stairs. I took my photo slightly looking up from the last step. My photo is vertical. In some of my photos I considered the rule of thirds, but with some of them I focused on the shape that the sides of the object would make towards the background. The stairs are a dynamic composition because of the way the stairs make your eyes follow the steps all the way up and the different dark and light values in the photo is balanced so its not to over powering.
Pattern and Texture
In this picture I am relatively close to my cat because I wanted to get the texture of her fur in the picture. I took my picture from a slightly tilted up angle. My photo is horizontal. I don't think it follows the rule of thirds because i just have one big focal point, which is my cat. My photo is an example of texture because your able to see the softness of her fur, it could also be pattern because of the different stripped pattern on her face.
The picture of my cat is a little overexposed because the sun was coming in from the window, it's too bright on the right side. The picture of my cat is a little underexposed as well in the back of the image and also on her face because there wasn't much light in the back and her face has black stripes. The image that is the best example of proper exposure is the one of the front of the school because it has the whit, black, and gray values and no part is overexposed nor underexposed.
