Expressive Light
Reflection
My favorite image is the photo of Logan with the pan on his head covering his face. The camera angle is coming from in front and towards the right a little bit. We used one reflector to make the lighting less harsh. Author’s Weekly is a magazine that shares the story of bestselling authors. Logan here is an author who wrote a book about a bear who lost his hat, in this image the hat is represented as a pan. I picked this photo as my favorite because it has a great balance of values. The contrast between the blacks, whites, and grays shows the use of light and shadow. The pattern in his sweater shows texture and leading lines that leads your eyes straight to his face. I used aperture to create focus on his hand and hat so that the main point of the photo is the hat(pan).
